About This Course

Lawyers today face growing client expectations, technological disruption, and the demand for innovative legal solutions. This CLE session introduces human-centered legal design and design thinking—the same process used by the world’s most innovative companies—as practical frameworks for transforming legal services. Participants will explore methods to transform their powerful ideas into client-focused, scalable solutions while cultivating intuitive, creative problem-solving skills supported by AI.

By the end of this course, attendees will understand how to integrate legal design principles into everyday practice, enhancing client experience, efficiency, and professional satisfaction.

Key learning outcomes:

  • Understand the true definition of legal innovation and identify your unique innovation persona.
  • Overcome internal blockers like the voice of judgment, the action bias, and the myth of not having enough time.
  • Apply the five core stages of design thinking to the legal context: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test.
  • Harness the power of intuition and subconscious thinking to generate breakthrough ideas and solve complex legal challenges.
  • Utilize AI strategically as a brainstorming and co-creation partner to accelerate research, prototyping, and user testing.
  • Shift from a traditional, risk-averse mindset to a resilient, human-centered approach that drives real business value and differentiates your practice.
