About This Course

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the physical and mental effects of stress, with a focus on recognizing and managing crisis situations—particularly from a law enforcement perspective. Students will learn to identify the signs of a person in crisis, understand how stress affects behavior and performance, and explore the appropriate limits and models of police intervention.

Through this training, students will also gain practical tools in conflict resolution, including the five key conflict management styles and how to choose the right approach. Additionally, the course covers effective communication techniques in high-stress scenarios and introduces the concept of proxemics to enhance situational awareness and response.
